 About the role:

Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Physiotherapists to join our team and play a vital role in delivering high quality patient care.  

We have various positions within our Orthopaedics Physiotherapist team on offer and we also have a position of 6 hours per week with our Emergency Short Stay Unit on offer – discuss your interests with Melanie Taylor for further information on what we have to offer.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a clinician looking to develop their career within a supportive multidisciplinary environment. You will work alongside experienced clinicians and contribute to a collaborative team committed to delivering person centred care across MLHD services.

 

As the Physiotherapist, you will: 

  • Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis and management of patients within the orthopaedic service, in line with evidence-based practice and relevant models of care.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes and facilitate safe and timely discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including assessments, interventions, care plans and referrals.
  • Provide education and guidance to patients, families, carers and other health professionals to support continuity of care.
  • Contribute to the supervision and delegation of tasks to Allied Health Assistants and students where appropriate.
  • Develop cultural competence and demonstrate a commitment to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal peoples.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, clinical supervision and mandatory training to maintain and enhance clinical skills.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and current registration with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, clinical skills and experience in physiotherapy practice, with the ability to deliver patient centred, evidence-based care across orthopaedic settings.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and manage competing demands.
  • Ability to analyse clinical problems, apply sound judgement and implement appropriate treatment strategies within scope of practice.
