Remuneration: $40.50 - $57.14 per hour
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job share may be considered for part time hours)

Join the Transitional Aged Care Program at Blacktown Hospital, where you will contribute to person-centred care that supports older patients as they transition through their healthcare journey. You’ll work alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team, using your clinical expertise to achieve positive outcomes for patients, families and carers.

What you'll be doing 
As a Physiotherapist Level 1/2, you will provide high-quality physiotherapy assessment and intervention while contributing to the delivery and ongoing improvement of the service.

• Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessment, treatment and management using advanced clinical reasoning.

• Manage a varied caseload and prioritise care effectively within a high-turnover environment.

• Work autonomously while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-focused care.

• Support the supervision and development of junior physiotherapists, students and community care aides where appropriate.

• Contribute to service development, quality improvement, clinical education and evidence-based practice.

Essential Criteria

• Qualification: Degree in Physiotherapy or Equivalent 

• Registration: AHPRA Registration as physiotherapist 

Selection Criteria

1. Post graduate experience in Physiotherapy with experience working in community specific to Aged Care. Experience working in TACP is desirable but not essential.

2. Demonstrated experience in staff and student supervision, teaching and training of undergraduate physiotherapy students.

3. Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team creating a harmonious environment.

4. Demonstrated experience in leading a team and effective problem solving skills

5. Demonstrated experience in effective time management and organisation skills.

6. Demonstrated effective written & verbal communication skills including interpersonal skills.

7. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and knowledge of Quality Improvement & Evidenced Based Practice.

8. Demonstrated experience in the development of clinical physiotherapy policies and procedures and/or guidelines.
