Where you’ll be working
You’ll join HNEkidsRehab, a specialist service delivering medically led, multidisciplinary rehabilitative care for children, young people and families across the Child Healthcare Network, Northern. The team works in a community-based clinic setting and is supported by a collaborative network of allied health and medical professionals who are committed to high-quality, client-centred care. This is a service where education, supervision and ongoing professional development are embedded in the way the team works.
About the role
As a Physiotherapist, you’ll provide evidence-based physiotherapy input to children attending specialist clinics and rehabilitation blocks, working closely with other health professionals to support assessment, intervention and ongoing care. Your work will be predominantly outpatient-based, with a focus on the cerebral palsy and movement disorders clinic, toxin clinic, and rehabilitation services for children and young people requiring intensive rehab support.
The role may also involve working with children and young people in their homes and schools, as well as attending outreach clinics across the Northern Child Health Network, including occasional overnight stays. You’ll also contribute your paediatric physiotherapy knowledge to support other teams and clinicians, helping strengthen service delivery across the district.
About you
You’re a motivated and enthusiastic physiotherapist who enjoys working with children and families and is committed to delivering a high-quality, client-centred service. You thrive in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment, bring sound paediatric physiotherapy experience, and are keen to continue improving outcomes through evidence-based practice and service development.
You bring:
- Current Authority to Practice with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist.
- Eligibility to drive in NSW, with the willingness and ability to travel for work purposes, including long-distance travel and outreach clinics.
- Experience in paediatric physiotherapy, particularly rehabilitation.
- Knowledge or experience in paediatric brain injury and cerebral palsy.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
- Motivation, initiative and a problem-solving mindset.
- A genuine commitment to improving service provision and supporting children and families.
