Located in South Bowenfels, the Lithgow Campus is considered as a comprehensive community health centre supporting approximately 20,000 people living in the town and surrounding areas. The services available in Lithgow hospital include Domiciliary care unit, Emergency department, Geriatric assessment unit, Obstetric services, Paediatric service, Drug and Alcohol unit.

Join a diverse and rewarding physiotherapy service at Lithgow Health Service, where you will provide high-quality, person-centred care across a broad range of clinical settings and support patients to achieve their health and wellbeing goals.

In this role, you will provide assessment and intervention across a variety of clinical areas, including outpatient, inpatient, hydrotherapy, plaster room, emergency and group settings. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver evidence-based care to meet the diverse needs of the local community.

The position also provides outreach services to Portland Tabulam Multi-Purpose Service, contributing to the delivery of physiotherapy services across the local community.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Degree in Physiotherapy with Current Authority to practice as a physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated ability to provide high quality clinical care across a range of clinical areas.
  3. Demonstrated effective written & verbal communication skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  5. Familiar with and/or prepared to gain skills in splinting, casting, and hydrotherapy.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development, quality improvement and evidenced based practice.
  7. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work/ caseload.
  8. Current licence to drive in NSW with the ability to drive for work purposes.
