The services available in Lithgow hospital include Domiciliary care unit, Emergency department, Geriatric assessment unit, Obstetric services, Paediatric service, Drug and Alcohol unit.

Are you looking to make a meaningful impact as a Physiotherapist delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across a diverse and rewarding clinical environment? This role offers the opportunity to work across outpatient and inpatient settings, while also contributing to specialised areas including hydrotherapy, the plaster room, emergency care, and group-based rehabilitation programs. You will play a key role in supporting patients throughout their recovery journey, applying your clinical expertise to a wide range of conditions and presentations within a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

In addition to your work within the hospital, this position extends into the community through regular outreach services to Portland Tabulam Aged Care Facility. This provides a unique opportunity to build strong relationships with residents and staff while delivering tailored physiotherapy interventions that enhance mobility, independence, and quality of life for older adults. Your ability to adapt across settings and engage with a variety of patients will be highly valued, as will your commitment to continuous improvement and compassionate care.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Degree in Physiotherapy with Current Authority to practice as a physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated ability to provide high quality clinical care across a range of clinical areas.
  3. Demonstrated effective written & verbal communication skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  5. Familiar with and/or prepared to gain skills in splinting, casting, and hydrotherapy.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development, quality improvement and evidenced based practice.
  7. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work/ caseload.
  8. Current licence to drive in NSW with the ability to drive for work purposes.
