Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital is an acute hospital that supports a population of approximately 80,000 and is the only ANZAC Memorial hospital remaining in NSW. Easily accessible to Sydney residents, our team of clinicians, allied health, and support staff works with the community on a shared goal to maintain the delivery of high-quality healthcare in the Blue Mountains region. 

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physiotherapist to join our team on a maternity leave cover basis. Located in the beautiful Blue Mountains, this role will work primarily supports inpatients services, including acute medical and inpatient rehabilitation on a rotational basis. There may be opportunities for an outpatient caseload. 

In this role, you will deliver high-quality physiotherapy services to patients across Blue Mountains and Springwood Hospitals. You will conduct comprehensive assessments and provide tailored, evidence-based treatment plans to support optimal patient outcomes. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will guide patients and their families/carers through physiotherapy goals, treatment plans, and progress. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in care planning, ensuring a patient-centred approach that supports safe discharge, transition of care, and appropriate referrals to community or specialist services.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Degree in Physiotherapy and current National Physiotherapy Registration with AHPRA.
  2. Demonstrated ability to provide high quality clinical services across a broad range of clinical areas.
  3. Demonstrated effective written & verbal communication skills
  4. Demonstrated effective time management skills
  5. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and demonstrated knowledge of & experience with Quality Improvement & Evidenced Based Practice
  7. Current NSW drivers licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
