The Pharmacy Store Officer is a key role in delivering reliable, safe and efficient pharmacy services across the hospital, ensuring clinicians and patients have timely access to essential medicines. You will lead the day to day operations of the Pharmacy Store, coordinating stock receipt, storage, inventory control and distribution while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and compliance. 

Working at the centre of a fast paced healthcare environment, you will collaborate closely with pharmacists, procurement teams and multidisciplinary staff to support end to end supply processes. From managing Vendor Managed Inventory systems and stock optimisation to supervising store staff and guiding service improvements, your work will have a direct impact on patient care and operational efficiency.

Where you'll be working

SESLHD is one of the largest local health districts in Sydney, covering a geographical area of 468 square kilometres from Sydney’s central business district, the beaches from Bondi to Cronulla and down to the Royal National Park. We deliver health care to around 930,000 residents across the local government areas of Woollahra, Waverley, Randwick, Bayside, Georges River and the Sutherland Shire. We also provide a key role in helping residents of Lord Howe Island. Our staff also deliver high quality health care across a variety of community-based services ranging from pre-birth to palliative care.


The Role

The Pharmacy Store Officer will coordinate and manage the day to day operations of the Pharmacy Store within the hospital campus and other associated community health services and institutions to facilitate delivery of quality, cost effective services and the achievement of business and service objectives. The position will assist in the provision of the Pharmacy Store service including supervising store staff.

The position work closely with the Pharmacy Procurement Category Managers on end to end procurement activities and will contribute to quality assurance activities with specific responsibility for stock control, storage and distribution.
 
The position will participate in the implementation of innovative models and support practice change under the direction of the Facility Deputy Director Pharmacy to ensure optimal service delivery and compliance with relevant safety and quality standards.
