Selection Criteria

Please outline how you satisfy the selection criteria listed below. In addressing the selection criteria, include any relevant skills, knowledge, qualifications and experience:

1.    FRACP and FAChPM or equivalent (candidates receiving these qualifications within 6 months are welcome to apply).

2.    Demonstrated skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner including:

          Proven ability to work effectively and harmoniously with medical and other health services colleagues as part of a multi disciplinary health care team.

                 Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

                Excellent organisational, supervision and collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to build respectful relationships.

                Maintaining and developing knowledge, skills and professional performance to the level required for contemporary practice.

                Experience and involvement in quality assurance activities and translation of research into practice to improve patient safety and quality.

                 A commitment to ongoing service development to support the delivery of culturally safe and trauma informed Supportive and Palliative Care.

3.    Demonstrated ability to manage time and resources efficiently and contributing to the effectiveness and efficiency of the health care system.

4.    Demonstrated aptitude for clinical leadership which is evidenced by:

              A commitment to ethical and equitable health care founded on the best evidence and/or expert consensus.

              Commitment to building relationships, leading, and developing others.

              A capacity for Systems thinking and innovation.

              A commitment to self -care and personal development.

              A Capacity to maintain personal integrity, tolerate stress and demonstrate resilience.

              Results and outcome focused.

5.    Commitment to good governance, achieving results and managing risks.

6.    Demonstrated commitment to Education, Training and Research, as applicable to the position.
