Selection Criteria
Please outline how you satisfy the selection criteria listed below. In addressing the selection criteria, include any relevant skills, knowledge, qualifications and experience:
- Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the RANZCP or equivalent as provided for in the Staff Specialists (State) Award. Must have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Australian Residency.
- Sound clinical knowledge of Mental Health service provision demonstrated through clinical practice in an environment consistent with the requirements of the position. Experience in inpatient and community mental health.
- Demonstrated skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner including:
o High level interpersonal and communication skills.
o Demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team.
o Experience and involvement in quality assurance activities and evidence-based best practice.
o Demonstrated commitment to teaching and supervision.
- Sound knowledge of principles of Recovery-based clinical practice and integrated Mental Health Care.
- Past experience in Acute Adult and Community Mental Health is desirable.
- Previous experience of working with co-morbid Drug & Alcohol with Mental Health and indigenous population is desirable.
