With your skills and experience, you can contribute to the millions of ways we're enriching health, and develop your career as part of the largest health organisation in Australia.

Achieve Something Great
Join a high performing, supportive Clinical Governance Unit committed to improving patient outcomes and safety across SWSLHD. In our fast paced, outcomes focused team, you’ll work with professionals who value collaboration, kindness, respect, and innovation. You’ll contribute to major districtwide initiatives, including REACH, Between the Flags, SAER improvements, and clinical quality reporting, while engaging with senior clinical leaders, statewide partners, and multidisciplinary teams. This role offers meaningful work that directly enhances patient, consumer, and staff safety, supported by a culture of continuous improvement and evidence based practice. With hybrid work options and exposure to multiple facilities, you’ll enjoy diverse clinical environments and strong professional development opportunities.

Are You the Right Fit?
We’re looking for someone with strong skills in ims+, incident management, data analysis, and system governance. You understand patient safety principles, SAER processes, and quality improvement, and you can train, coach, and influence staff at all levels. You’re analytical, organised, detail focused, and able to manage competing priorities independently or within a team. Experience with Power BI, dashboards, death review systems, or clinical information platforms is highly valued, along with a commitment to continuous improvement, patient centred care, and a culture of safety and transparency across SWSLHD.

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

1. Describe your experience with the Incident Information Management System (ims+), including how you have used it to support incident reporting, analysis, and improvement initiatives. In your response, please include examples of how you have contributed to governance, training, or statewide forums related to ims+, how your work aligned with NSW Health policy directives, and how you have supported and improved a positive patient safety culture through your use of the system.
2. Provide an example of a patient safety quality improvement initiative you have led or supported in a healthcare setting. Explain the context, your role and contribution, the methodologies used (e.g. data analysis, dashboard reporting, SAERs, focus groups), and the outcomes achieved. In your response, highlight how you collaborated with internal and external stakeholders to drive sustainable change, and describe how you evaluated and monitored the initiative to ensure its long-term impact and alignment with patient safety goals.
3. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
