NSLHD Digital Health Service is currently recruiting for our Patient Management Support Specialist role. This role will assist the other Application Specialist in the Clinical Application Team to prepare and be involved in the transition to the EPIC System in November 2026. If you have experience in working as an Application Specialist or have worked in a hospital, then you might be interested in this role.

What you'll be doing
 

The Unit exists within Digital Health Services (DHS), Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD). 
The unit provides; 
 

  • ongoing application support and management of clinical and patient management applications
  • clinical application upgrades and maintenance
  • eMR data quality and management
  • expert knowledge, ongoing enhancements, optimisation and development of the eMR and
  • consulting services on the development of new clinical applications, advice on business process reengineering and transformation, change management, benefits realisation, and post implementation reviews.

This role is responsible for supporting and assisting the Patient Management Application Specialists in specific day to day tasks that may relate to testing, configuration changes and resolution of identified issues relating to the Patient Management System.  This role will require the incumbent to directly consult with eMR users at both facility and LHD levels relating to changes or enquiries within the eMR PAS. The role will be required to action and complete service tickets logged to the State Wide Service Desk as well as working with project teams on issues and activities such as testing relating to the eMR PAS modules. Provision of go live support for eMR users will also be required to ensure successful implementation of new eMR functionality.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Demonstrated experience performing application management and support in Cerner Patient Management Applications with experience using the Cerner PAS Applications.
  2. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate both orally and in writing with all levels of staff, managers, and medical practitioners.
  3. Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
