What you'll be doing

The PARS Project Coordinator is responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of the Physical Activity Referral Scheme (PARS), a key priority within NSLHD’s Health Outcomes Action Plan. This initiative will create a comprehensive digital repository of physical activity options across Northern Sydney and develop formal physical activity referral pathways, enabling clinicians to connect patients and consumers with suitable programs and services. 
Reporting to the Healthy Ageing Manager, the coordinator will foster strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support referral pathways and embed PARS into clinical workflows. This position will have a key focus on healthy ageing.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in health promotion, public health, education, community development, health sciences, sociology or other related discipline.
  2. Proven project management capabilities including planning, implementation and evaluation of health promotion initiatives at a population level.
  3. Experience in advocacy and influencing change, particularly in relation to population health issues, behaviour change and policy development.
