Remuneration: $64,440.53 - $64,891.88 per annum
Hours Per Week: up to 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

Where you'll be working
Located at Westmead Hospital, you'll join a busy healthcare environment where teamwork, reliability and patient-centred care are essential. As an Orderly/Wardsperson, you'll work closely with nurses, supervisors and other hospital staff to support efficient patient flow and a positive experience for patients, families and visitors.

- Use appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment to protect patients, yourself and colleagues.
- Help maintain high standards of infection prevention, workplace safety and service quality.
What you'll be doing
In this hands-on role, you'll provide essential transport and patient support services that help clinical teams deliver timely and effective care. You'll need to be physically capable, safety-focused and comfortable working with people in a range of circumstances.
- Safely transport patients by bed, trolley and wheelchair, along with equipment, documents and specimens.
- Assist with patient movements and positioning, including bed-to-chair transfers, sling lifters, log rolls and other manual handling activities.
- Support mortuary duties, including preparing and safely transferring deceased patients to the morgue.
- Provide responsive, professional customer service while working closely with nursing teams and other hospital staff.
- Identify and report hazards, equipment faults, incidents and patient safety concerns, and contribute to continuous improvement.
