Remuneration: $32.50 - $32.72 per hour
Hours Per Week: Two part-time positions available – 30 hours and 15 hours per week

You will be part of a team that:

What you'll be doing
As an Orderly/Wardsperson, you will provide essential support services that enable smooth hospital operations and enhance the patient journey. You will be responsible for the safe movement of patients, equipment and resources while maintaining a high standard of customer service and care.
You will:
· Safely transport patients using beds, trolleys and wheelchairs across the hospital
· Assist patients with mobility and transfers using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment
· Transport essential items including specimens, documents, furniture and equipment
· Support mortuary activities, including preparation and transfer of deceased patients
· Work closely with hospital teams to provide timely, reliable and safe support services

Selection Criteria:
1. Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, visitors, staff and managers.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety, Manual Handling and Infection control principles
3. Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse and physically challenging position/workload.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to read and write in English.
5. Ability to use electronic devices as part of the Orderly Department’s tasking system
6. Ability to complete tasks either in a team environment or unsupervised all within a measurable timeframe
