About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Oral Health Therapist - Level 3 to deliver high-quality dental therapy and dental hygiene services within their scope of practice. In this advanced role, you will provide complex clinical care requiring highly developed practical skills, while also supporting and mentoring Level 1 and 2 Oral Health Therapists. The position offers the opportunity to contribute across clinical, education, and management functions within a collaborative healthcare environment committed to excellent patient outcomes.

As the Oral Health Therapist Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Deliver evidence-based dental therapy and hygiene care within scope of practice and relevant legislative frameworks

  • Lead and contribute to oral health projects, including planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting

  • Deliver oral health promotion and preventative programs aligned with NSW oral health priorities

  • Use clinical equipment, systems, and applications to maintain high professional and quality standards

  • Communicate effectively with patients and carers to support positive health outcomes

  • Foster collaborative and respectful working relationships within multidisciplinary teams

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  1. Current AHPRA registration to practice as an Oral Health Therapist

  2. Delivers high-quality clinical and diagnostic care using sound independent judgement and problem-solving skills

  3. Demonstrates commitment to preventative and population health approaches to patient care

  4. Maintains strict privacy and confidentiality standards in line with NSW Health policies and Code of Conduct

  5. Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing with patients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams

  6. Works collaboratively within teams and provides guidance and support to colleagues

  7. Willing and able to travel for work, including long-distance and overnight travel, with a current Class C driver’s licence
