  1. Previous experience in one or more areas of this role- working with people in a care setting, undertaking cleaning duties or providing general assistance in a health or aged care setting.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work independently, completing set tasks effectively with minimal direct supervision.
  3. Good communication skills- both written and verbal, and ability to relate well and communicate respectfully to line management, colleagues and members of the public.
  4. Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, supporting others and taking directions from supervisors or other staff as appropriate.
  5. Ability and willingness to work shifts, on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  6. Willingness to work within a theatre environment, around surgical procedures, as part of the broader care team.
  7. Knowledge of Work, Health and Safety principles, especially around safe manual handling.
