The Operations Assistant provides a support function in the operating suite by facilitating the movement, safe positioning and comfort of patients throughout their surgical experience. In addition to supporting patient care, the Operations Assistant assists clinical staff by preparing positioning equipment used in surgical procedures, transporting equipment and stock, restocking consumables and cleaning.

What you'll be doing: The Operations Assistant provides a support function in the operating suite by facilitating the movement, safe positioning and comfort of patients throughout their surgical experience. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Understanding and compliance with infection control principles.
- Experience in carrying out duties safely to prevent injury to self and others.
- Ability to listen carefully to instructions, seek clarification and carry out tasks as requested.
- Compassionate manner with all patients to provide exceptional care.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, which includes being on feet most of the day and frequent pushing and lifting of patients and other heavy items.
- Attention to detail in performing tasks – eg. cleaning and stock control.
