The Operating Theatres is a fast-paced environment where time management, effective communication and collaborative teamwork is fundamental in providing high quality patient care.
Our Operating Room Assistant are an integral part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing support and care to patients during their surgical journey under the supervision of clinical staff to provide this care. Within the operating theatre you will be assisting all clinical staff in caring for paediatric and adult patients with transferring patients and assisting with preparation of theatres. To provide a support service undergoing surgical procedures Within the perioperative unit you will be working amongst an inclusive and friendly team of clinicians to deliver care to patients by supporting the clinicians.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Recent experience as an Operations Assistant or equivalent.
- Demonstrate competence in manual handling and operating equipment related to the position.
- Effective communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- The ability to work independently without supervision when required.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Willingness to learn about patient positioning equipment.
