What you'll be doing
Provide high quality, evidence based Occupational Therapy services to patients within acute adult wards, primarily based at Blacktown Hospital with one rotation to Mount Druitt Hospital, supporting optimal health and functional outcomes. Excellent opportunity to build your Occupational Therapy skills within a supportive, collaborative team. Grow your career through 6 monthly rotations. New graduates encouraged to apply.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver targeted interventions
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve patient centred goals
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communication
• Participate in supervision, reflective practice and ongoing professional development
• Contribute to student support and work across a 7-day rotating roster

Essential Criteria
Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
Registration: AHPRA Occupational Therapist – general registration
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated clinical experience in an inpatient setting including experience in discharge planning, home assessment, home modifications and equipment prescription.
Skills in planning, implementing and evaluating intervention programmes.
Ability to work both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated effective time management and organisational skills.
Current drivers licence.
Commitment to ongoing education, professional development and quality improvement with demonstrated ability to reflect on clinical reasoning and implement new learning into clinical practice.
Ability to work in a team providing 7 day rotating roster.
