About Us

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is an exceptional environment to advance your career while enhancing your skills and expertise. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we deliver a comprehensive range of public health services across the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Regions.

The Primary Care and Community Health Unit consists of 9 centres that provide a range of services for children, young people and their families, adults, older people and their carers. Our services range from health promotion, prevention and early detection through to assessment, treatment and continuing care. Our staff work in partnership with schools, GPs, hospitals, non-government agencies and other organisations to provide care across our centres, in people’s homes, other community venues as well as virtual care (telehealth).

Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families? Join our Child and Family Health team in ensuring the provision of assessment and intervention services for children aged up to 8 years with mild developmental concerns or learning difficulties.

This team works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including speech pathology, physiotherapy, counselling and nursing disciplines. The successful candidate will provide paediatric occupational therapy services for children and their families. You will be able to establish short and long term goals with clients, complete comprehensive assessments and implement treatment plans in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team.

This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your clinical skills while contributing to a team that values collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement. Springwood and Penrith Community Health Centres are the preferred work locations, although other community health centres may be negotiated. This opportunity is suited to both New Graduate and experienced Occupational Therapists, with support and development opportunities available to help you succeed in the role.
