Where you'll be working
This role is based within Aged Care Services in the Lower Mid North Coast (LMNC), with the primary location at Taree Community Health Service.
You will be part of a welcoming and supportive Aged Care team led by a highly supportive Service Manager, with strong backing from a skilled Administration Team, allowing you to focus on delivering the best possible outcomes for your clients.

What you'll be doing 
In this full-time, community-based role, you will provide assessment, intervention, education and advice to older people and their families/carers in their own homes as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary Community Aged Care Team across the Lower Mid North Coast.
You will collaborate closely with a broad range of Allied Health and medical professionals, including Speech Therapists, Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Geriatricians, Nurse Practitioners, Dementia Support staff, Single Assessment Assessors and members of the Transitional Aged Care Program.
The role also offers opportunities to develop advanced professional skills, including contributing to policy and procedure development and supervising Occupational Therapy undergraduate students, within a progressive and innovative team that values professional growth and high-quality care delivery.

About you
You are a passionate and motivated Occupational Therapist who is eager to make a meaningful impact in your local community. You bring appropriate knowledge and skills in community and aged care and are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
You enjoy working collaboratively, value continuous learning, and are interested in developing higher-level skills, including contributing to service improvement and supporting the next generation of Occupational Therapists through student supervision.

Requirements 

  • Occupational Therapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
  • Unrestricted NSW Driver’s License required for Community appointments

  • An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies. 
  • This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered.
