About your new role:

Join our dynamic Occupational Therapy team at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital! Located in the historic and picturesque city of Armidale, 1000m above sea level, you'll be surrounded by stunning autumn leaves, national parks, waterfalls, cafes, and bars, offering an idyllic lifestyle.

As part of the main hospital in the New England region, ARRH provides a wide range of services to a diverse patient population, including emergency care, medical, surgical, rehabilitation, and orthopaedic services for both adults and paediatrics, with a focus on supporting individuals from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, including ATSI and refugee communities.

Joining our collaborative team of junior and senior clinicians, an OT Aide, and Administrative Assistant, dedicated to providing patient-centred care across adult and paediatric caseloads, including Medical, Surgical, Rehabilitation inpatient caseloads, Hand Therapy patients, and a community CHSP caseload.

We're looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and highly motivated individual with a passion for rural health. You should possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences.

You will be committed to delivering safe, compassionate, person-centred care, ensuring clients achieve their safe discharge and facilitating appropriate follow-up services. You should also demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development, with the ability to analyze problems, set priorities, and develop effective solutions.

In this role, you'll receive supervision from the Occupational Therapy department manager, access to professional development activities, and support to attend relevant courses to enhance your skills and knowledge.

  • This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered.
