Nursing Leaders - a rare opportunity to join the incredible team in Nursing and Midwifery Operations at Royal North Shore Hospital. The Nursing Unit Manager Staffing provides leadership to the Staffing team and manages all facets of the casual nursing pool. The role is full time for 12 months.

The Staffing office sits within Nursing and Midwifery Operations, which houses Staffing, Patient Flow, the Nurse Manager Workforce and the Deputy Director of Nursing.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria

  1. Registered Nurse who holds full AHPRA registration. Recent experience in an acute setting as a manager, with relevant management qualifications or substantially working towards.
  2. Demonstrated financial and human resource management skills.
  3. Demonstrated effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  4. Demonstrated leadership skills.
  5. Comprehensive understanding of clinical governance and current nursing issues.
  6. Sound selection and recruitment knowledge and experience.
