This position will lead a team of staff in the development, establishment and management of a multi-disciplinary early phase clinical trials within NORTHSTAR Van Norton Poche early phase Trials Unit NSLHD.

What you'll be doing
The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) will  lead the planning, establishment, development and management of multi-disciplinary early phase clinical trials within Nth Star Van Norton Poche Early Phase Trials Unit. It involves the development and management of strategic plans to conduct cancer clinical trial research to achieve the aims and goals of the NSW Government through the NSW Cancer Institute within the NSLHD.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA). Previous experience in venepuncture, cannulation and the administration of complex trial medications including chemotherapeutics/immunotherapy.
  2. Demonstrated expertise and experience in clinical trial methodology, conduct and regulatory requirements.
  3. Substantial working experience in a clinical research environment including experience in the management of early phase Clinical Trials.
