About the Role
As the Nurse Unit Manager Level 1 - Medical Assessment Unit, you will provide operational and clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care. You will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day management of the unit, supporting staff, and fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will oversee the management of human, physical, and financial resources to ensure the efficient operation of the unit while maintaining the highest standards of clinical care. This rewarding leadership role offers the opportunity to influence service delivery, support workforce development, and contribute to positive outcomes for patients, families, and the broader health service.
About You
You are a motivated and experienced nursing leader with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and supporting high-performing teams. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you bring demonstrated experience in operational and clinical management within a healthcare setting, along with the ability to coordinate complex ward or unit activities.
You are confident leading and motivating multidisciplinary teams, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and have a proven ability to manage resources effectively while maintaining a focus on quality, safety, and patient outcomes. Your sound computer skills, commitment to continuous improvement, and collaborative leadership style will enable you to thrive in this rewarding management role.
What you'll be doing
To provide management and clinical leadership to the team / unit and ensure the provision of appropriate, well planned and coordinated services to clients that reflect current standards of nursing practices and Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.
