Fairfield Hospital is offering a temporary opportunity until August 2026 for a dedicated and inspiring Nurse Unit Manager (Level 2) to lead our vibrant team in Ward 1B – Geriatrics & Rehabilitation. This role is ideal for a passionate professional eager to step into a leadership position, drive high standards of care, and make a tangible difference in the lives of our patients and staff during this rewarding interim period.
This 20-bed subacute unit is a vital part of our hospital, providing compassionate care to patients transitioning from acute care to rehabilitation or community placement. As a leader in this unit, you’ll play a pivotal role in guiding a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care as they regain independence and quality of life. As a Nurse Unit Manager, you’ll be supported by a cohesive team and have the opportunity to shape the future of geriatric and rehabilitation care.

Fairfield hospital is located in one of NSW’s largest LGA’s and is a hub of diverse cultures, ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds. - Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
