  1. Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); recognised post graduate/tertiary qualifications in health or working towards the same, including ongoing engagement in professional development to further enhance their management and leadership competencies.
  2. Recent management experience in an Emergency Department (ED) within a Tertiary referral hospital, demonstrating an understanding of Hospital Access Targets (HATs), review and report on service delivery, and action variance, and a proven ability to work in partnership with external stakeholders/agencies.
  3. Proven ability to contribute to and advance the operational/business plans for nursing services, coordinate the process of organisational change, monitor and evaluate nursing resource allocations within the Emergency setting.
  4. Experience and demonstrated ability in leading and facilitating quality improvement activities with a demonstrated knowledge of ACHS National Standards accreditation requirements, WH&S and infection control principles.
  5. Actively contribute to a positive workplace culture and lead workforce development and succession planning.
  6. Demonstrated computer literacy and understanding of hospital information systems and Health Roster.
  7. Sound knowledge of the Ministry of Health’s strategic directions, and the nursing and midwifery agenda and its application to the Emergency setting.
