What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of this role is to provide local leadership for the Auburn Hospital Nursing & Midwifery Education Unit, and is responsible for the nursing and midwifery education portfolio (including but not limited to) overseeing the to Gradstart Program and also Facility-delivered education and training programs within Auburn Hospital and Community Health Services.

Essential Requirements
Qualifications: As per the Public Health Systems Nurses’ and Midwives (State) Award a Nurse Educator Grade 2 is a Registered Nurse/Midwife appointed to a position classified as such and who holds relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.
Registration: Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Demonstrated effective and advanced communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change within the context of best practice clinical care and workplace culture.
Demonstrates an understanding of adult learning principles and learning and assessment principles.
Demonstrated competency in education delivery and facilitation using a range of tools and technologies.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to develop, deliver and evaluate education programs consistent with the needs of learners with proven ability to achieve outcomes.
Demonstrated an awareness of contemporary issues in nursing clinical practice and staff education development.
