Selection Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants expecting to be awarded fellowship within 6 months maybe considered.
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them
- Demonstrated experience in paediatric clinical work suitable for this position at a specialist level.
- Demonstrated high-level of knowledge and expertise in the areas of domestic violence, child abuse and neglect and child sexual assault including recognized appropriate medical forensic skills/ training in sexual assault and abuse. Completed forensic medicine training or be studying towards forensic medicine qualifications within 6 months of commencing in the role.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated research experience and program evaluation.
- Commitment to participate in peer review, quality improvement programs and change management to ensure excellence.
- Demonstrated excellent communication with an ability to consult, influence, negotiate and maintain positive relationships with the community, clinicians, management, staff and senior executives within NSLHD, interagency partners, and other stakeholders.
