Selection Criteria

1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within 3 months may be considered.
2. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
3. Appropriate experience with clinical, diagnostic and technical skills commensurate with practicing as a Senior Medical Practitioner in Emergency Medicine in a tertiary hospital environment seeing major trauma and paediatrics
4. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Demonstrated ability to lead and work within a multidisciplinary team environment including meeting patient flow benchmarks and supervision of multiple junior staff.
6. Demonstrated commitment to teaching and published research as relevant to the position.
7. Demonstrated commitment to training and supervision of ACEM trainees.
8. Demonstrated interest and participation in quality improvement.
