NNSWLHD Visiting Medical Officer or Staff Specialist Obstetrics & Gynaecology-Maternity Clinical Stream - Medical Lead, Temporary Part Time (Apply via eCredential)
Selection Criteria
- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways. Current substantive appointment as a Senior Medical Practitioner (Staff Specialist, Visiting Medical Officer) in Obstetrics
- Experience in the management, planning and development of clinical services
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary, evidence-based practice and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective clinical leadership, and assist in the management of the clinical resources of a service
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement principles, and ability to ensure the provision of high-quality clinical services across the health service
- Demonstrated ability to assist in the leadership of a multidisciplinary team in the context of the District Clinical Service arrangements and the TPN as per the Maternity and Newborn Service capability arrangements
- Demonstrated excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills with proven ability to effectively engage in multidisciplinary team working, including the promotion of reflective practice
- Valid unrestricted drivers' licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment. The ability and willingness to work set days each fortnight in line with required meeting attendance and in line with LHD requirements.
