The Role

To provide the best possible imaging and ultrasound service, ensuring a high quality of patient care. This is necessary to ensure a 'best practice' department with regard to the patients, visitors, medical and non-medical staff, and codes of practice.

Selection Criteria
- A degree or equivalent in Medical Radiation Science and a post graduate diploma or equivalent qualification in Medical Diagnostic Ultrasound
- Current accreditation with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR). Current or eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Eligibility for the NSW EPA Radiation License
- Current NSW Drivers Licence and/or the ability to attend after hours on call in a timely manner by other forms of transport
- Demonstrated ability to independently perform a comprehensive range of diagnostic general ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental service requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, General Imaging, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Vascular, Small Parts, Paediatrics and Musculoskeletal (MSK).
- Proven ability to organise workloads efficiently to optimise staff and equipment utilisation. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in team building, liaison, and negotiation
- Experience working effectively in a high-throughput, multidisciplinary healthcare environment
- Commitment to ongoing personal education and professional development within the field
