Are you a skilled and passionate Radiographer ready to take the next step in your career? Liverpool Cancer Therapy Centre is offering an exceptional opportunity for a Radiographer (Medical Radiation Scientist) Level 3 Grade 3 to join our specialist team.

As part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging that directly informs clinical decisions and improves patient outcomes. Liverpool Cancer Therapy Centre is one of only two centres in NSW equipped with a dedicated Radiation Oncology MRI simulator. In this role, you’ll be positioning and imaging patients for radiation therapy planning, assisting with contour delineation, and supporting patients throughout their treatment journey. You’ll also work closely with our Radiation Therapy team using two dedicated CT scanners, helping to ensure patient throughput and treatment planning precision.

What You'll be Doing
The position is responsible for providing comprehensive tertiary and quaternary level specialist vascular ultrasound service, ensuring high quality of patient care. The position works within a multi-disciplinary team to provide accurate and high quality diagnostic vascular ultrasound services across Liverpool Hospital

  1. Successful completion of a degree in Medical Radiation Technology or equivalent qualification recognised by the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT), AHPRA Registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer, Hold, or be eligible to hold, a NSW EPA Radiation Licence and Relevant tertiary qualification with an appropriately recognized postgraduate diploma relating to MRI and must have equivalent clinical experience 
  2. Demonstrated effective organisational and time management skills including an ability to self-motivate and self-direct own training & learning, including continuing professional development.
  3. Can demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, both spoken and written with the ability to relate to patients, visitors and staff groups; including the ability to clearly communicate complex issues to all levels of staff.
  4. Demonstrated involvement in, and ongoing commitment to research in the field of MRI, in particular its use in Radiation Oncology.
  5. Ability to objectively assess new MRI sequences for their potential use in Radiation Oncology, including image evaluation and operational impact.
  6. Demonstrated experience and broad clinical knowledge in General Radiography and extensive knowledge in both MRI & CT with the ability to apply this knowledge in a radiation therapy department, including the capacity to contribute to the establishment and maintenance of clinical protocols and competencies for both CT and MRI.
  7. Demonstrated capacity to supervise, educate, train and objectively assess members of the multidisciplinary team, in particular Radiation Therapists, in the use of MRI and associated new practices and technologies.
  8. Demonstrated knowledge of Safe Work Practices relating to the MRI work area and the ability to be accountable for and oversee safe access for patients, volunteers and staff.
  9. Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a harmonious workplace with proven high level problem solving with the capacity to present SWSLHD Radiation Oncology in a strong and positive manner.
