Selection Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, registered with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Evidence of a Fellowship with the Royal Australasian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists with a subspecialty of Older Persons Mental Health
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and harmoniously with medical and other health service colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and staff and to work as an effective member of the clinical team.
- Willingness to teach medical students and other staff of the hospital when reasonably requested with demonstrated understanding of and commitment to clinical quality improvement and peer review, equal employment opportunity and Occupational Health Safety and Rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated significant experience relevant nominated specialty practice and evidence of competence in skills relevant to Australian rural hospital practice, including trauma and emergency scenarios
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing medical education relevant to area of practice and a willingness to commit to an equitable hospital on-call roster.
- Demonstrated commitment to behaviours which align to the NSW Health CORE values and MLHD Values, goals and strategies.
