About the Opportunity

Join our team at Murrumbidgee Local Health District as the Redevelopment Asset Project Manager, where you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of asset management components across MLHD redevelopment projects to ensure new facilities are safe, functional, and compliant at handover. The role balances on-site operational readiness with accurate asset data management, ensuring asset performance is optimised over the whole-of-life cycle in line with the NSW Health Asset Management Framework.

As the Redevelopment Asset Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Attending facilities as required planning, coordinating, and delivering the asset management components of MLHD redevelopment projects to ensure new facilities are safe, functional, and compliant at handover.
  • Lead the Asset Management Unit’s involvement in commissioning, testing, and systems integration activities, including managing defects throughout the Defects Liability Period (DLP) for major facility systems.
  • Acting as a key liaison between Health Infrastructure, contractors, and internal MLHD teams to ensure seamless transfer of technical and operational information.
  • Ensuring accurate collection, verification, and upload of asset data into relevant systems in line with the NSW Health Asset Management Framework.

About You

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in leading or commissioning capital works or building infrastructure projects. 
  • Possession of or willingness to obtain WH&S General Induction for Construction Work certificate.
  • Sound knowledge of the NSW Health Asset Management Framework, Australian Standards and statutory compliance requirements.
  • The ability to interpret and apply building design documentation and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office products, including the ability to prepare reports and documents.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to negotiate and build effective working relationships.
  • Well-developed analytical and organisational skills, with the capacity to manage competing priorities. 
  • Class C drivers licence, with willingness to travel as necessary across our District.
