Expressions of interest are being sought from NSW Health staff wishing to apply to this twelve (12) month internal opportunity. In order to be eligible to apply for this role, you must be a permanent/ongoing employee or a temporary employee of NSW Health.

This is a secondment opportunity where you are required to have permission from your home agency to be released from your usual duties for the period.
 

  • Employment type: up to 12 month secondment 
  • Located at 52 Martin Place, Sydney, close to public transport
  • 35 hour working week – role is mostly office-based


About this role
The Ministerial Liaison Officer – Health role is an exciting and challenging opportunity for someone with an interest in how government works and the health portfolio. It would suit someone keen to broaden their career experience through experience in a Minister’s office, develop an appreciation of the of health portfolio issues, and gain experience working in a complex, fast paced environment. The role ensures provision of high quality and timely advice on matters relevant to the health portfolio.

Crown Clerk 7/8, salary from $ 113,574 - $125,720 plus Super and annual leave loading

What you'll be doing

  • Provide accurate, timely and professional advice and support to the Minister’s Office, the Chief of Staff, Advisors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage workflow systems and processes to ensure deadlines are clearly identified and met within a complex, high-paced environment.
  • Manage briefs, including event and meeting briefs, between the Ministry of Health and the Minister’s Office, ensuring requests are promptly addressed.
  • Manage and facilitate the flow of information between the Ministry of Health and the Minister’s Office.
  • Actively identify ways in which departmental processes and liaison activities can be streamlined to ensure maximum efficiencies are met and stakeholders are supported.
