Join the New England North West (NENW) Mental Health Service - a progressive, recovery-focused service delivering evidence-based rehabilitation across rural and regional communities. About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Level 3 Mental Health Rehabilitation Clinician to join our Northwest Community Mental Health Service in a senior capacity.
In this role, you will:
- Undertake comprehensive rehabilitation assessments for consumers with complex mental health needs
- Deliver individually tailored, evidence-informed interventions that support long-term recovery
- Coordinate care across services to ensure safe, seamless and recovery-oriented treatment
- Provide specialist rehabilitation consultation and guidance to colleagues and partner services
Collaboration sits at the heart of this position. You’ll work closely with NDIS providers and Community Managed Organisations to ensure consumers have access to appropriate, sustainable supports in the community.
As a senior clinician, you will also provide discipline-specific leadership within the team, including advocacy, mentorship and professional supervision for clinicians in your discipline. This is a role that offers both autonomy and meaningful teamwork — ideal for someone motivated to influence pathways, strengthen systems and improve outcomes across the service.
You’ll be supported by an established leadership team including the Rehabilitation Coordinator, Clinical Coordinator, Team Manager, Professional Lead and NENW Service Manager. Structured clinical supervision is provided, alongside access to ongoing professional development, education and training through NSW Health programs and internal learning initiatives.

Requirements:
- Must hold a qualification in one of the following: Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Counsellor (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science Mental health, Djirruwang Program), which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association / provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. For a CNS2: relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years experience working in the clinical area of a post-graduate qualification.
- Eligibility to drive in NSW and interstate and the willingness to travel in the course of employment.

- * Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position or the agreed duration of your contract. All payments to part-time and contract employees will be made on a pro-rata basis in accordance with the terms of your contract, including any approved extensions. If your contract ends before the agreed completion date, you may be required to repay a portion of the incentive. Please note: the increased RHWIS allowance is approved until 30th June 2026. Commencement after this date may be subject to change, including the allowance amount for which the candidate may be eligible. - This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered.
