As a Mental Health Professional, you’ll provide high-quality clinical care to clients and their families/carers, using your expertise to support positive health outcomes and deliver care that is responsive to individual needs.

Working within the dynamic Newcastle Community Mental Health Service, you’ll be part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team where collaboration, clinical excellence and person-centred care are at the heart of what we do. The role offers the opportunity to work confidently both independently and alongside a diverse team of professionals, contributing your clinical expertise to a busy and rewarding mental health environment.

Reporting to the HSM2 Team Manager, you’ll be supported from day one through an exceptional orientation program designed to help you settle into the service and build confidence in your role. Ongoing clinical supervision, education and professional development are strongly supported, providing a comprehensive framework to strengthen your practice and continue your career growth.

Essential Requirements:

• Must hold a qualification in one of the following: Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Counsellor (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science Mental Health, Djirruwang Program), Nutrition, and Dietetics which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association / provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
• Eligibility to drive in NSW and interstate and the willingness to travel in the course of employment.
