What you'll be doing
The Occupational Therapist will be based within the Mental Health Inpatient Units at Northern Beaches Hospital, providing services across the Adult Mental Health Unit, Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC), and Psychogeriatric Unit. These services are committed to delivering recovery-oriented, person-centred, and innovative models of care that promote consumer and carer participation, collaborative decision-making, and social inclusion. Partnerships with consumers, families, carers, and external service providers are integral to the delivery of high-quality mental health care across the units.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
  1. Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and full registration with AHPRA.
  2. Experience in mental health assessment, care coordination and treatment/interventions, including group work.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of principles of bio-psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery.

  4. Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Occupational Therapy models of practice for mental health interventions.
