The Dual Diagnosis AH clinician will conduct transdisciplinary assessment across functional areas, provide brief intervention (if indicated), or escalate referrals to other Allied Health colleagues. They will complete this work in collaboration with the Mental Health Clinical Nurse Consultant and the Emergency Psychiatry Medical Team led by the Consultant Psychiatrist. They may also commence a Mental Health care plan for those being admitted to a mental health unit and inform or support discharge for consumers from the ED.
