What you'll be doing
As a Mental Health Clinician – Nursing, you’ll provide comprehensive, recovery-oriented care to consumers experiencing chronic and persistent mental illness and complex psychosocial needs. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll combine clinical expertise with a strong focus on collaboration, advocacy and consumer empowerment.
Undertake mental health triage, comprehensive assessments and ongoing clinical care
Develop collaborative care plans with consumers, carers and other service providers
Coordinate care, interventions and discharge planning across health, government and community services
Deliver evidence-based psychological and family interventions within your scope of practice
Contribute to clinical reviews, quality improvement, service development, education and health promotion initiatives

Essential Requirements:
Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualifications as a Registered Nurse
Registration: Full registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated skills in mental health and discipline specific assessments and interventions and experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illness.
Demonstrated understanding and ability to work within experience working in a team and/or knowledge of the principles that guide service delivery within this model of practice
Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision.
Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act, 2007.
Demonstrated excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and good interpersonal skills.
Computer competence and literacy including the use of database systems.
Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia
