Join a service operating across a rotating 24/7 roster, with on-call participation as required.
What you'll be doing
As a Level 2 Medical Radiation Scientist, you'll deliver safe, accurate and patient-focused diagnostic imaging while working within professional standards, legislation and departmental procedures.
Perform a broad range of diagnostic examinations, including general and trauma radiography, mobile, operating theatre, dental and fluoroscopy.
Explain procedures clearly, provide reassurance and adapt your approach to meet patients' physical and psychological needs.
Produce correctly identified and labelled diagnostic images while following modality workflows and Radiology Information System processes.
Maintain high standards of radiation safety, infection control, privacy, confidentiality and workplace safety.
Identify equipment or workflow issues, communicate effectively with the wider team and help develop practical solutions in a busy clinical environment.

Essential Requirements:
Qualification: Degree in or currently completing degree in Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
Registration: Eligible for and registered with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) prior to commencement
License: Eligible for or possess NSW EPA Radiation Licence IA14
Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated experience in general radiography, including but not limited to general and trauma, operating suite, mobile, dental and fluoroscopy
Experience working in a busy hospital environment
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to solve clinical situations and to develop effective solutions
