What you'll be doing
Join the Radiology Department as a Medical Radiation Scientist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services while adhering to national standards and policies. You’ll work in a team-oriented, patient-focused environment within Western Sydney Local Health District.
- Perform radiological exams under senior staff guidance
- Participate in a 24/7 rotating roster, including on-call shifts
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure patient safety and maintain privacy and confidentiality
- Maintain equipment, infection control, and workplace safety

Essential Criteria:
Licence: Eligible for or possess NSW EPA Radiation Licence IA14
Qualification: Degree in or currently completing degree in Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
Registration: Eligible for and registered with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) prior to commencement.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in general radiography, including but not limited to general and trauma, operating suite, mobile, dental and fluoroscopy
- Experience working in a busy hospital environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to solve clinical situations and to develop effective solutions
