An exciting permanent full-time opportunity is available to join a dedicated Anatomical Pathology team at the large and dynamic NSW Health Pathology Wollongong Laboratory. The NSW Health Pathology Wollongong Anatomical Pathology service is located within the large Wollongong Hospital, which provides both inpatient and outpatient services to the Illawarra and Shoalhaven communities. What you'll be doing

Perform a range of Anatomical Pathology laboratory support and specimen reception services, and provide assistance to laboratory staff, under supervision, to deliver a patient focused service.

  1. A working knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to learn, all aspects of the laboratory environment relevant to the Department
  2. Demonstrated ability to maintain high quality work output while managing competing priorities
  3. Demonstrated customer service experience and skills, preferably in a laboratory environment, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, patients and clinical staff
  4. Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills combined with the ability to investigate and resolve general issues within the laboratory environment
  5. Excellent data entry skills including high attention to detail and data accuracy
  6. Awareness of legislation, policies and requirements relevant to a laboratory setting
