What you'll be doing 
In this senior clinical role, you will deliver expert mammographic services while playing a pivotal role in education, quality assurance and service leadership. Key responsibilities will be to:

  • Perform high-quality mammographic examinations that support early cancer detection

  • Lead and participate in comprehensive quality assurance and accreditation activities

  • Mentor, train and support fellow Medical Radiation Scientists in mammography

  • Deliver empathetic, patient-centred care that recognises physical and emotional needs

  • Contribute to service improvement, safety, innovation and professional excellence

 

You will also work across a rotating 7-day roster and travel to multiple screening locations, helping ensure women across the region can access vital breast screening services.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualification:  Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent 

  • Registration: Current registration with AHPRA as a Medical Radiation Practitioner 

  • License:  NSW Environment Protection Agency EPA Radiation Licence IA14 
     

Selection Criteria:

  1. Possession of Clinical Proficiency in Mammography Certificate (CPM), is registered with AHPRA and has current NSW Radiation Licence

  2. Provide high quality Breast Imaging service that is patient focused, according to the objectives and policies of the BCI

  3. High level customer service skills, and effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients

  4. Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative

  5. Demonstrated skill in the analysis of complex issues, problem solving and formulating new approaches

  6. Working knowledge of mammography equipment and knowledge of BreastScreen Australia Program and the National Accreditation Standards
