We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join Sydney Children's Hospitals Network’s (SCHN) Communications and Engagement Directorate. In a collaborative and supportive environment, you will work to promote SCHN as world leaders in paediatric research and healthcare. Using your expertise and experience, you will work with a variety of stakeholders to develop communication campaigns and create audience-specific content for a variety of platforms including intranet, website, written publications and social media, as well as pitching stories to national and international media outlets.
You will develop and maintain a vibrant digital presence for key priority areas and facilitate onsite visits with key stakeholders, to showcase the impact of research for our staff, patients and family. This is an exciting opportunity for a communications professional seeking new challenges.
What you'll be doing
The Media and Communications Officer (Kids Research) is part of the Directorate of Communications and Engagement (DCE) within the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN).
The Media and Communications Officer (Kids Research) is responsible for:
- developing and executing communications across digital channels,
- handling media enquiries,
- proactive content development,
- maintenance of the Kids Research (KR) website,
- delivery of various SCHN and KR strategic priorities.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience using a Content Management System and familiarity with UX and UI design principles.
- Demonstrates experience creating audience focused content suitable for diverse channels including social media, media and web.
- Has a degree in media relations and/or journalism, equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
