This role aims to enhance health in Western Sydney by supporting Population Health's initiatives aligned with WSLHD and Ministry of Health goals, focusing on strategic goals and meeting annual targets.

Remuneration: $61.95 - $70.38 per hour

Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. The purpose of this position is to improve the health of people living in Western Sydney by contributing to Population Health's program of work, in line with the Ministry of Health and Western Sydney Local Health District's (WSLHD) goals, principles and strategies.
The position will contribute to the development and achievement of Population Health's strategic directions and operations and is accountable for achieving annual targets as set down by the NSW Ministry of Health, LHD, Integrated and Community Health Directorate and Population Health.

- Relevant tertiary qualification with demonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience of public health and health promotion issues such as the application of relevant legislative and other frameworks and methods for public health/health promotion practice including evidence informed management of complex health issues
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of policy advice in a complex and multi-disciplinary environment
- Demonstrated high level experience in project planning, implementation and evaluation of population health programs and understanding of research and quality improvement methodologies
- Demonstrated leadership skills in the development of population health programs aligned to strategic priorities
- Highly developed communication, presentation, coaching and facilitation skills including a variety of writing and editing styles (reports, research & evaluation, briefs, media, translation of population health information)
- Demonstrated successful people management experience with medium sized professional teams
- Demonstrated effectiveness in establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships both internally and externally and negotiating effectively to achieve health goals
- Current Valid Australian Driver's license
