Fairfield Hospital is seeking a dedicated Manager of Patient and Security Services to oversee the delivery of orderly and security operations.

This pivotal role ensures a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff, and visitors while protecting the hospital’s people, property, and assets. You’ll lead a committed team, ensuring seamless coordination of patient transport and security services, while maintaining the highest standards of care and professionalism.

As a key member of the Corporate Services team, you’ll provide strategic leadership and operational oversight, including performance reporting, risk assessments, audits, and emergency management. You’ll drive continuous improvement through active participation in working groups and committees, manage departmental budgets, and ensure compliance with training, accreditation, and incident reporting standards.

What you'll be doing
The Manager of Patient and Security Services is responsible for overseeing the efficient, 24-hour operation of the ward orderly and security services. This role ensures a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors while protecting the facility’s people, property, and assets, and maintaining a well- coordinated and effective orderly service.

The position is responsible for the management of staff and daily operations of the Patient and Security Services Department to facilitate quality, cost effective services and the achievement of business and service objectives by the delivery of safe quality care and positive experience.

    1. Current NSW Security Licence in accordance with the NSW Security Industry 1997 Class 1A, First Aid Certification and an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted. Management qualification and/or relevant experience and demonstrated leadership ability, including ability to motivate, coordinate and manage staff.
