Selection Criteria:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated extensive experience at a management level in building services or in an engineering environment.
- Understanding and knowledge of engineering and facility management responsibilities, including but not limited to compliance codes, standards and procedures relevant to Hospitals and Healthcare facilities and the ability to conduct and supervise works at a level that complies with these codes and standards.
- Demonstrated experience in the successful development, implementation and sustained operation of planned preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage workforce issues in a busy and diverse department, including performance development, human resources management, WH&S matters and staff compliance with registration and licensing requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing project and financial documentation, including but not limited to business cases, functional briefs, and project impact analysis reports.
- Excellent negotiation, decision making and influencing skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, through all organisational levels.
- Highly developed and effective written and oral communication skills.
- Current drivers licence (with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
