About this role

Do you want to improve health outcomes for children and families? Do you enjoy collaborating with stakeholders to develop joint solutions? This role leads NSW Health’s nationally-recognised prevention approach in early childhood and school settings to support children and families to eat well and be more active. You will partner closely with others to ensure this program of work evolves and adapts to meet changing sector needs, while continuing to deliver health outcomes.

Crown Clerk 11/12, starting salary from $145,378 - $168,130 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing 

  • Building and maintaining strong and effective working relationships with the school and early childhood sectors and NSW Health colleagues
  • Leading a team to achieve high levels of performance and deliver required results
  • Analysing evidence, data and stakeholder views to provide strategic advice to senior decision makers
  • Proactively identifying and effectively managing stakeholder and implementation risks
  • Scoping, planning and managing the delivery of the agreed program of work within required timeframe and budget 


About you 

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with: 

  • A track record of building strong decision-making partnerships, including collaborating with others to overcome barriers and negotiate effective joint solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to listen and communicate complex and technical information effectively with diverse stakeholders, to achieve outcomes.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing and continuously improving population-level initiatives to deliver health outcomes, using evidence, data, critical thinking and partnerships.  
  • A growth mindset, and commitment to continuous learning and personal development
